Q: Is Pressure Washing safe for the Environment?

A: Yes.  Pressure Washing is safe for the environment (plain water only) and uses 30% less water than your standard water hose.

Q: I have pets; will chemicals be used around my home?

A: When necessary, only diluted biodegradable cleaners are used, to fight tough stains.  Williams Pressure Washing uses environmentally safe cleaners to ensure the best possible improvement to your property.

Q: How long will my property stay clean and free from mold and mildew?

A: It depends. Trees, pollen season, non-grassy landscaping, and other contributing factors can play a role.  During normal conditions, it is good practice to have your home pressure washed at least once or twice a year.

Q: What all can be cleaned from Pressure Washing?

A: The possibilities are endless with power washing.  Click Here.

Q: Why pressure wash?

A: Every homeowner knows how difficult it is to clean paths, driveways and patio areas when using a garden hose and a stiff broom.  This is because the water pressure from a garden hose only provides very limited cleaning power.  However, a pressure washer provides significantly higher cleaning power, with water delivered above 1,500 psi (pounds per square inch) and a controlled water flow, therefore making it perfect for most exterior cleaning tasks around the house.

Q: Can stains be removed?

A: Rust stains, for example, can be difficult to remove with pressure washing.  To reduce the introduction of harsh chemicals, Williams Pressure Washing uses the best methods for cleaning all surfaces.  We are compliant with EPA regulations and abide by local and governmental laws concerning chemicals.

Q: I have allergies.  Does mold and mildew contribute?

A: Unfortunately, yes. The toxic mold and mildew could add to your outdoor allergies.  Did you know that mold, fungus and mildew grow in as little as one day?  Using a standard water hose to clean the unsightly grime is not as effective as power washing.  Why scrub with harmful cleaners (i.e., Bleach), only to find out they didn't work?  The key is PRESSURE.  That added force of water is what it takes.  Now really, isn't controlling your allergies worth it?  Williams Pressure Washing think so!

Q: What all does pressure washing remove?

A: We remove dirt, grime, oil, mold, mildew, cobwebs from your home, driveway and walkway.

Q: What is wash water?

A:  Wash water, also known as waste water, is any surface flow, runoff, drainage, or discharge that is not composed entirely of storm water (rain) which may include pollutants.  Wash water is generated during pressure washing, and in addition to cleaning chemicals, wash water often also contains pollutants such as oil and grease that are removed during the cleaning process.

Q: Could I be held liable for allowing illegal discharges that occur on my property?

A: Yes!  Gwinnett County's Illicit Discharge and Illegal Connection (IDIC) Ordinance prohibits the discharge of anything other than storm water into a storm drain or water way.  Maximum penalties for violation include a $1,000.00 fine and/or 60 days in the County jail.  Property owners who hire pressure washers could help to prevent pollution by only hiring contractors who have demostrated their ability to collect and manage polluted wash water.

Q: Do you offer waste water cleanup services?

A: Yes!  Williams Pressure Washing is equipped to handle waste water cleanup.  Because our storm drains are important to the environment, we comply with the local and state laws concerning waste water.  Our system extracts the waste water on the ground before it gets to the storm drain.  Thus, keeping the storm drains free from contamination.  The waste water we collect gets disposed of in the proper treatment facility, filtration system, or on site if feasible.
